Before launching twp Berlin, Ansgar was a partner with Berlin Global Advisors, advising clients from the financial services industry. He had been Deutsche Bank’s Head of Public Affairs until 2017, based in Berlin, and, for many years, has been the bank’s representative to the EU institutions in Brussels, reporting directly to Deutsche Bank’s group CEO. Earlier, he has held positions with Deutsche Bank in different business functions in Frankfurt/ Main, Dusseldorf and Paris, where he was the bank’s local COO. Ansgar holds a number of honorary assignments, not least as President of the Economic Policy Club Germany (WPCD) – one of Berlin’s most outstanding fora for political dialogue. He studied Economics at the universities of Münster, Paris-Dauphine and Bonn, graduating with a master’s degree, and received his doctorate in Economics from the Ruhr University Bochum.
