Before founding twp Berlin, Ansgar was a partner at Berlin Global Advisors, working with clients from the financial services industry. He was Deutsche Bank’s Head of Public Affairs until 2017, based in Berlin, and, for many years, the bank’s representative to the EU institutions in Brussels, reporting directly to the Group CEO. He previously held positions with Deutsche Bank in different business functions in Frankfurt am Main, Düsseldorf and Paris, where he was the bank’s local COO. Ansgar holds several honorary roles, not least as President of the Economic Policy Club Germany (WPCD) – one of Berlin’s leading fora for political dialogue. He studied Economics at the universities of Münster, Paris-Dauphine and Bonn, graduating with a master’s degree. In addition, he holds a doctorate in Economics from Ruhr University Bochum.
